The Problem
A lot of people come in saying something like:
“My foot hurts every time I walk, especially in the morning.”
It’s often sharp with the first few steps, then eases off as you move.
Foot pain like this is extremely common.
Why It Happens
Usually, a few things are going on:
• The arch isn’t absorbing load well
• The calf muscles are tight
• The foot is doing too much work
When the foot loses its ability to handle force, stress builds in the plantar fascia.
Quick Tip
Try this:
Roll your foot gently on a ball for 1–2 minutes.
Don’t crush it—just apply light pressure.
When Massage Helps
Massage can help loosen the calves and the bottom of the foot.
When those tissues move better, walking becomes less painful.
If foot pain keeps coming back, it may be worth getting it checked out.
