The Problem
A lot of people come in saying something like:
“My wrist hurts after working on the computer.”
It might feel like an ache, tingling, or even numbness in the hand.
Wrist pain from typing is extremely common.
Why It Happens
Usually, a few things are going on:
• Repetitive strain from typing
• Tight forearm muscles
• Poor wrist positioning
Over time, that constant repetition irritates the tissues around the wrist.
Quick Tip
Try this:
Take breaks every 30–60 minutes.
Gently stretch your forearms by extending your arm and pulling your fingers back.
When Massage Helps
Massage can help reduce tension in the forearms and wrists.
When those muscles relax, pressure on the wrist decreases.
If typing keeps bothering your wrist, it may be worth getting it checked out.
